Do I dare ask...what is a king cake? :)
A king cake is heaven in pastry form.
Oooh, I'm very curious now!
I experienced King cake once in my life. I had a good friend from New Orleans and her family would order and have a king cake shipped to them each year from New Orleans for their Mardi Gras celebration. I knew little about the tradition, only that it was DELICIOUS! However, when I got the baby I was a little concerned that there were things hiding in the cake! (They, of course, thought it was hilarious!) Did you put a baby in your cake?
That looks so yummy!!! I tried to make one last night (the perfect end to our meal of gumbo and corn bread), right? Wrong! It turned out nasty! You must share you recipe so next year happiness will reign in the household!
